It’s been quiet on The Art(s) of Slow Cinema recently, but things will change very soon. Now that the Slow Film Festival is over, I have more time for writing and viewing films and I cannot wait to get back into my slow bubble of reading and writing. First of all, I’m delighted to present to you this year’s winners. If you come across those three films, please make sure that you see them!

Jury Award: elephantfish by Meltse van Coillie

Special Mention: And what is the summer saying? by Payal Kapadia

Audience Award: Nordic Grammar by Kaspar Peters

Congratulations to all! It was a delight to see the many (many!!!) slow submissions and to see see those selected for the festival on a big screen.

In other news: until Sunday midnight CET, tao films shows a special Slow Film Festival selection, including the festival winner elephantfish. Head over to tao and check out our selection.

I’m soon starting to work on the new issue of The Art(s) of Slow Cinema magazine. I’ll also be back with blog posts on the latest films by Pedro Costa and Albert Serra. Lots to look forward to. Thank you all for your patience!
